If you have wide varieties of parts that are of different sizes and need to make military specification pouches try using this 200 yrd material. Try this material which works great in conjunction with our US-made mobile handheld sealer or our very economical hot jaw.
MIL-PRF-131K Class 1 is a moisture barrier grade material is the most common material used in MIL-SPEC packaging. There are several different types of MIL-SPEC packaging materials (for example: 81705E is for electronic products). The most common of all is the MIL-PRF-131 Class 1 grade which is a moisture barrier material designed for packaging government products, usually military items, that are moisture sensitive. Thus, one will often find a desiccant (MIL-D-3464) packet inside a package or a mil-spec pouch that has been produced from MIL-PRF-131K material.
We have learned that being able to provide 50" wide material in this extremely puncture resistant grade of MIL-PRF-131 moisture barrier film is very beneficial to those doing crating, and packaging for military grade products. For commercial grade products PAKDRY7500 is produced in much higher volume is not only superior but more readily available.
We often refer to MIL-PRF-131 (formerly classified as MIL-B-131K) barrier material but the latest specification issued by the military is MIL-PRF-131K. Issued by the Department of Navy on August 18, 2005

MIL-PRF-81705E Type 1 Class 1 is an ideal packaging material that provides protection from electrostatic discharge and moisture. This specification meets the established requirements for heat sealable, electrostatic discharge protective, flexible barrier materials used in military packaging of integrated circuits, semiconductors, resistors, microcircuits and printed circuit boards. Type 1 materials provide a moisture proof barrier and attenuation of electromagnetic interference.

MIL-DTLs are detail specifications that outline how to achieve a specific requirement. One subcategory of packaging, MIL-DTL-117, specifies the nature of heat-sealed bags for military uses, like preserving food or storing supplies that are susceptible to corrosion. Heat-sealed bags can serve many purposes as personnel are planning for contingencies or conducting training scenarios. The DoD has set up in-depth criteria and checks to make these bags and pouches resilient and reliable.
What the bags are made of influences their ability to keep out air and unwanted chemicals. MIL-PRF-121, MIL-PRF-131, MIL-PRF-22191 and MIL-PRF81705 are the most widely used materials. The composition of the bags has to fall within the relevant type and class comparable to the style and purpose. Warding off water or grease takes a treated substance, and foil, plastic, kraft paper or laminate can create the protection your contents need. The thickness of the material is also managed to promote cost-efficiency.
MIL-I-8835 is a humidity indicator. It consists of a card that contains three spots, each one indicating a different level of humidity. The spots change color from blue to pink when the humidity threshold has been reached. From top to bottom, they measure 50% relative humidity, 40% relative humidity and 30% relative humidity, each one accurate to within 5%. The use of MS20003 can inform packaging facilities about the relative humidity in the packaging environment and whether it is suitable for sensitive applications.

IMPAK produces custom printed pouches and packaging with an emphasis on materials with distinctive barrier properties to protect products from the adverse effects of moisture, oxygen, light and more. Learn about our unique custom capabilities.
High barrier bags are used to preserve and protect products. When paired with an oxygen absorber or desiccant, products enjoy even greater shelf-life and stability. However, selecting the appropriate package is not always as straight forward as it seems.
Not every Industrial Vacuum Sealer applies to every application. There are different models and types of Vacuum Sealers available, and each one of those sealers has different features that can affect the way a production line works.
